Any thoughts on this bass? I've been looking for a high quality 6 string. I'd prefer a smaller scale but I know that's hard to find in a 6 unless custom ordered.

All I know about Overwater basses is that Scott Devine plays their J model and make it sound great. Endorsements are worth what they're worth, but Scott has been playing and praising his Overwaters since the first time I ever heard of him.

The price is steep for sure, but maybe not unreasonable given that a new one would be almost 50% more. On the other hand, you say it isn't exactly what you want (e.g., scale). So if it were me, I might wait it out to see if the price comes down, or maybe submit and offer if it doesn't sell in the first week or two.

I don't know a ton about the brand, certainly appears to be good quality, but at 12lbs 2oz that's a chunky boy!

I'm a big fan of Scott/SBL, and I agree that his Overwaters always sound great when he plays them, but I would point out that Scott used to work at Overwater -- in fact, I believe he worked at Overwater before he even started playing bass -- so everyone can make their own assumptions as to how much that might impact his/their endorsement decisions.
