yep, this is my bass, I really only posted it to show the rarity of it, but you never know. Yes it is the only green rising sun with factory Kahler.

I requested to join the group and laughed when it said "Official Left Handers Group". To me leftybassist.com is the official and everything else especially Facebook is just supplemental!

Would anyone care to post a picture or a screencap for those of use who don't do the book of faces?

Tim, here are some pictures:

These last two pictures show different pickups. Mike, can you tell us which pickups are currently installed?

To quote Pete in the original sale, "it has a tremolo in case your guitarist isn't wanking enough."

Here it is again! Very much adjusted for inflation at $2000 from Pete’s original sale price of $449!

Is Mike (the original owner who I sold it back to) selling this, or is this now another owner?

The eBay user name doesn’t provide any clues there, but the current seller is out of Dallas. Do you remember if that is where you shipped it to?pjmuck wrote:Is Mike (the original owner who I sold it back to) selling this, or is this now another owner?

Here is an updated link:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/285694216335?m ... media=COPY
It is now an auction, starting at $1299+shipping, with a buy-it-now price of $1699. It is now shipping from New Jersey, rather than Dallas, which is surprising.

I kept my notes on this bass and still have old photos I took when I owned it. Mike was also nice enough to send me photos of him in action playing the bass back in the 80's.
When I had the bass, the 4th pot rout hole was visible/unfilled, which apparently originally held a switch for the EMGs. (which were active). This has since been filled with a 4th pot/knob, though I'm not sure what it now does (Has this been set up as a Pilot Advanced configuration now? i.e. 2 vol, 1 treble, 1 bass EQ knobs?) Also, not shown in the pictures on the auction (deliberately?), there were two additional strap button routs on the heel and back of the upper horn (Not sure why, as Mike mentioned, this was a very lightweight, well-balanced bass). So I don't know if those have since been addressed or not either. Here's one of the old photos I had of the heel:
