If you're successful, here's a case to go with it. A bargain at only $1,159.

That bass reminded me of The Late Doug Lubahn, who was a friend.. and had one just like it, also in excellent condition. I think his may have been a '59. I worked on it once for him. He also had a beautiful Fiesta Red 1960!
For those that don't know, Doug played bass on quite a few Doors tracks/ hits. He told me he used a Klira bass for some of those. The bass on them does not sound like a Fender bass at all. I'm pretty sure he's on "People Are Strange" and "Touch Me" among others.

Yes indeed. Played with Billy Squire too. I've even had to learn some of his parts for some Doors covers we do in one cover band I'm in. (Jerry Schef as well). Was Doug a lefty?

Yes, Doug was a left handed bassist. And a killer vocalist, and composer, too. I knew Billy Squier, played some with him too, when he was trying out rhythm sections, and many of the same players in N.Y. at that time worked together in different bands. The The Late Bobby Choinard, was another band gig cohort of mine, and Doug's. He's the drummer on all of Squier's hits. We all worked in various bands together. Doug wrote "Treat Me Right" for Pat Benatar.
