Local pickup only Astoria, Queens/NY it says on the Reverb listing. If anyone is interested, I'm not far from Astoria and could pick it up for you. We can figure out the shipping later.

Astoria/Ditmars/Steinway is a really nice part of town. I don’t know a lot about New York City, but that would be one of the finalists for areas of New York City I would live in if I were to move there.

The 1983-1985 (maple fretboard version) RB650 still remains my all time favorite passive vintage P/J- style bass. $750 is probably a bit too rich for the market, but I say this whenever these come up: Imho if these basses weren’t “Ibanez” they would easily command that price relative to their actual quality as 35+ year old vintage instruments. Apparently I’ve been raving about these basses on LB since 2009 (I’m getting old, lol)…

Great basses indeed. I don't own one, but I have two '86 Roadstars with the active low B soap bars (one black, which I'll be selling, and one I just bought off Paulo in white) and I love those basses. But the bassist in a cover band I play with regularly has the PJ model in question that he uses all the time, and it's killer. The whole Roadster/Roadstar line of basses were great, IMO.

Edit: Mine are actually RB850s

Spot on , PJ!

Here’s my extensive coverage/ rant in a “BC Rich” thread from 2015:

Yes, I remember your "rant". great wealth of info, as always. And that Aztec gold refinish! Killer choice. I'm still holding out for a white RB650. I got my white RB850, but I can afford to wait longer. ;)

As do I! That is why I asked if this bass falls within the "prime" Roadstar years. I thought it was Paulo who had said that. (I think because you two had similar avatars at the time. I would get you two mixed up all the time back then.)

Would love to score one of these some time. How are the pickups & electronics in these?
