If that makes you feel better, I recently did the same to a righty bass with no remorse but a little satisfying feeling of revengepjmuck wrote:Agreed. It doesn't, unless you're Hendrix.

Great, Paulo! I got satisfaction just by imaging what you did to the righty bass, as this indeed one of my frustrations.paulo wrote:If that makes you feel better, I recently did the same to a righty bass with no remorse but a little satisfying feeling of revengepjmuck wrote:Agreed. The other being us lefty having the Ford T syndrome: you can choose any color as long as it is black (though in all fairness this has changed a bit in the past years. But for my generation "18 in the 80s" this was certainly the case)...

Back in the 80s I didn't mind that part at all. Black, especially Precisions like this one, was the color that I associated with the British New Wave bassists I wanted to emulate. The other being us lefty having the Ford T syndrome: you can choose any color as long as it is black (though in all fairness this has changed a bit in the past years. I agree with that. (Or white, like Dee Dee Ramone's and Sid Vicious's P basses).Agent00Soul wrote:Back in the 80s I didn't mind that part at all.
