Sorry guys, my Japanese wife registered me as my reading is far below my speaking level  . I'll try to do a cut n paste explanation over the next few weeks for all.

Here's another rare Aria lefty in the UK. Auction ending in 8 hours. Unfortunately seller claims he won't ship outside UK. :x

Well I did win the auction on this bass, it's on it's way to me via EMS, hopefully will arrive by the weekend. Since I didn't get any answers on how to do it directly thru Yahoo, I ended up having to go thru a bidding service (http://www.kuboTEN.com). I had never used one of these before. They charged a service commission of $53.47 (10% of sale price+ $10). The only thing that was a bit screwy to me is the lower exchange rate, which in essence got them another additional $31.47-- so you could say their "total fees" were $84.94. Add $23.54 for shipping from the seller to kuboTEN, then add $125 for EMS shipping to me, and my total cost comes to $645.

So how does this kuboTEN deal compare with any other option?

Here's how all the costs broke down:

Winning Bid: $412.25
kuboTEN commission: $43.57 (10%)+$10 USD
Japan Shipping & Sales Tax: $23.54
Exchange Rate reduction: $31.47
(Their exchange rate is typically about 3% under the actual rate you'd see on a currency converter. According to them it’s derived from their credit card processors rate).
---------------------------
Total Price: $520.83
International Shipping : $125.00
---------------------------
Total US Dollars Paid: $645.83
---------------------------

Anyway, even though I paid more than I would have liked, I'm really looking forward to finally adding a lefty SB series bass to my collection- I already have a TSB-650 and an RSB Deluxe II Black n' Gold, I only wish I could find a SB1000! Can you guys that have SBs give me some idea what to expect from this bass?

Great looking bass! The grain and color is outstanding! I'm sure it will play as well as it looks..
