I like it with the black hardware better as I've never been a fan of gold hardware.

Looks fantastic. Gold and chrome look good on certain things but black looks good on every thing.

Better 8-)

I actually liked the gold with natural flamed maple, it just fits somehow without turning overly *bling*. I do prefer the black though, it looks more understated and distracts less from the beautiful wood :)
