I've been wondering if I should revisit these budget Sterling models. I wasn't impressed when I tried a 4 string one first hand at NAMM years ago, but maybe they've since improved. Youtube demos I've heard sound pretty good.

The whole basswood thing turns me off. I like 5 string Basses, but have no use for one. This might be a good option for a schmuck like me.

I'm disappointed since EBMM used to be lefty friendly and this just feels like they are throwing us a bone now. If the Stingray 5 Special was available to us I'd own one right now. Mine is 21 years old and not getting any lighter :(

I wanted the revamped 2018 Stingray, but they didn't respond to my email, and closed comments on the announcement webpage and deleted my request there.

So I got a Kiloton.

I think it's good that they're offering this one, but disappointing that they don't offer their flagship model.

Nice! I'm into that, having never tried an EBMM anything. They seemed too expensive for me to take the lefty leap of faith, but this may change that.
