Seems & looks like a good idea but it ain't worth it. Most likely could be a nice bass but not worth the money. Maybe at half the money. Maybe.

Sharp loving bass, but I'm more of a fan of the later '62 P bass with the rosewood fretboard. if they did a custom shop fo that one I might consider picking one up...might.
I was in a Sam Ash a month ago and they had one of those custom shop '64 J relic basses (righty though). I had to do a double take when I saw it. It really really looked the part, I could have sworn it was a vintage J. It was pretty heavy though.

Gorgeous. I love my CS Jazz, and it was absolutely worth it. When you pick one up, you know where that cash went.
