Gaskell Explorer-style X-Basses shipping

I mentioned the Australian company Gaskell Guitars was putting out a left handed Explorer-style bass a few months ago, and the wait is finally over as they've already shipped out their first orders. (I ordered one in natural, which should be here in a couple of weeks). I'm told that despite the 34" scale they balance very well (The original Gibson Explorers were short scale, I believe)
