Post by AzWhoFan »

Anyone else going to the big show this week? I'll be there Thur-Fri-Sat. PM me with your itinerary and contact details if you want to meet up!

I'm not, but please keep us updated on any new lefty basses you spot.

There's already a lot of new gear dropping at NAMM that interests me, it's going to be a rough year on my gear addiction.

Bergantino HG412
Darkglass AOU900 amp
Tech 21 Geddy pedal
EBS Sheehan Ultra pedal

Hopefully this ends up being the year Dingwall releases their lefty basses too.
Typically a Dingwall isn't my kind of bass but I tried the one they had at NAMM in 2018 and was really impressed.

I've been crying about a Ric 4003SW for a while and even emailed Ric several times and they replied saying they have no plans to produce them. Well, my eyes weren't deceiving me when I saw one hanging there in the pics in the big TB NAMM thread!!! I hope it's not just a one-off!

Last year they had like 8 lefty rics including three walnuts at NAMM. If you're looking to buy, that does seem to be where the supply is.

I emailed and all the basses from the booth are sold. Anyone here pick one up? That S Walnut is big news. It's really the first one I've seen to exist.

There's a lefty walnut S on reverb now. $2449.

Looking closely at the grain pattern, it looks like the same bass as the one in the NAMM shot.

If that thing is available through a dealer and one of you guys is gonna snag it, ask for a susbstantial discount (unless the walnut versions are just inherently higher). I didn’t pay nearly what was being asked for the one I just bought.

Yup, that's the NAMM bass alright!

P.S. I do have a couple of pics to post ... one is of a sweet Carvin bass, the other is of a Hagstrom. As usual, there wasn't much in the way of lefty basses that I saw on my travels. Hopefully i can get those pics uploaded this weekend.
