Remember if you live near a Guitar Center, if you purchase they can ship directly to your store rather than waiting around the house for the UPS or Fed Ex Driver.

Stopped by today to check out this bass.
It was locked behind the glass display with other fancy and vintage guitars, it was the only bass there.
It's in great shape, tort guard looks original I think, but it also has the same color as the newer Americas Standard series...
They didn't know if the case was original or not but only the pickup cover is included.
Serial actually points it as a 75.
I have a 76 just like that but with black guard and the neck feels just the same, slightly chunkier than the ones with maple fretboard.
One other good thing, it's not a boat anchor.

I do have to question whether or not that is a refinish, as the wood looks to be alder and I don't believe Fender ever offered a natural finish in alder. Serial # puts it at 1975 too, though some parts might be earlier. Would want to see heel stamp, pot dates, etc.

This bass was in Boston, it sold and it's been returned in CA.
