That’s quite a bodacious bend in the E string tuner... :shock: how I wonder did they wallop that one and not the rest?

Yep, Good question. The Fender decal on front of the headstock doesn't look correct and the custom shop logo on the back looks darker and thicker than most of the others I've seen.

Who in the world would pay top dollar to order a custom shop "black"???
Also that neck doesn't have the relic work like the custom shop 57s I've seen up for sale in the past... And it doesn't seem to have the vintage tint nitrogloss finish... Something fishy about this bass...

This to me doesn’t look genuine at all.
In addition to what all mentioned, the neck
is not a quarter sawn cut. The neck grain pattern is very different.
