The description makes my skin crawl, Yes like many here I am a huge McCartney Fan and this maybe a great auto-graph however the description and price are so off base.

Is this bass indeed extremely rare, as there is no info as to date - and just how much is Sir Pauls signature worth, especially on a bass he only signed, and never played?

Wow. The audacity of some Human units is always entertaining. This isn't even one of the true German made Beatle Basses, it's an 'Icon(?)'
So, 3 seconds of a legendary bassist's time, and effort with a Sharpie, is worth about 14k?
The truth, is that no one besides a person with the same fetish that seller has, would pay more than a slight premium for that bass with Paul's signature on the pickguard. OH WAIT! It's his 'old style' signature! O.K., where do I send the check! lol!

Yep! You're buying a signed pick guard that does't fit that bass, most probably not original and almost certainly wasn't on the bass when it was signed.
