This even made it to Dutch national radio last monday! There was an interview on the radio with the owner of a major guitar store, who claimed he is one of just two remaining Gibson dealers in our country, because Gibson is so demanding towards its dealers. Dealers were forced to meet al kinds of (expensive) demands, and to stock certain guitars (especially the ones with the Robot tuners). Many Dutch stores just couldn't meet their demands, because of financial reasons, and were apparently forced to drop Gibson sales alltogether.

The same story applies on this side of the pond.

How are the necks on those? I'm thinking about biting the bullet, but I can't for the life of me find anything
regarding lefty T-Birds on the Gibson site.

I’m amazed that they couldn’t be bothered to source an image of a left handed version for this page.... if it was a $299 cheapo I could perhaps understand it, but for over $2k, at least they could pretend that they give a damn..

Quick edit: find the lefty image and win a prize:

Grrr...

What we need to do is get Gibson to sponsor Wolf and his band - he’s single handedly putting out more quality images of a lefty thunderbird being rocked hard than I’ve ever seen from Gibson..... rock on brother \^/

I don't think that Gibson will go away, but someone new will take over and perhaps they will come in thirsty for money and decide to offer all basses in left handed.

If your looking for a T-Bird, I got one I would sell cheap $1400 with hard shell case, this bass is in mint condition and plays and sounds great. I got this from another board member here and it is in the same condition (Excellent) Why Pay $2K (sorry USA only)

I'm surprised it still up for sale at that price!
