Not bad prices. You could buy both for less than the cost of a new German made Hofner. I like the blue one with Cavern spaced pickups.

Those are German. Spectacular prices too. I’d kill for that one with cavern pickup spacing.

Price drop to $999. each. That's a great price for a German Hofner.

Down to $859. shipped with case. Hard to believe no one wants these. Maybe the colors are too unconventional ?

Maybe the prices are down because those aren't Paul's color?

I think there is that, and the fact that Hofner and Hofner style basses are the most prevalent basses for sale on Reverb, at least with regard to lefties.

Höfner has been coming out with a lot of different finishes and such lately, which is killer. I agree it’s gonna be hard for them to get past the whole Beatles thing. But these 2 basses on reverb are killer.

I just tried to buy the red one. They refused to send it since they are not licenced to send cites regulated stuff outside US  :?

Have you experienced a thing like that?

I spent yesterday reading up on Cites certification. I just got confused.
One certain thing I learned is - You don't need a certificate if you go over there and buy it (then you are it's owner) and take it home as personal luggage. Once it's yours and you keep it with you, you should be able to travel anywhere, certificate free.

Conflicting advice I saw was that either it's the seller (exporter) who must provide the certificate or the buyer (importer). A UK guitar auctions I was looking into say it's the buyers responsibility. That doesn't make complete sense, as getting a certificate can require information the buyer may not have access to.

Was just browsing through old posts in this section. How did I miss these??? I would have gone after the cavern blue in a flash. Did anyone here snag either one or both of them?
