I live way out in WA state just about halfway between Portland and Seattle and am singing and bass playin in a three piece, called Action Figures. We do originals and the occasional cover. Thanks for letting me join and I look forward to hearing from everyone.

Yeah, it's fun. A three piece is so nice to be a part of, we're all early forties and aren't hell bent on taking over the world. More of a writing songs, cutting tracks and gigging downtown kind of band.

Re: Please say hello
Hello.
I'm Jim and I am left handed.
I play bass & guitar left handed with reversed strings due to not even knowing there were left handed instruments when I bought my first bass. Some of my axes are righties (4001, SG, Strat) & some (Fender types) are lefties with fattest string to the floor.
I play keyboards too, but nobody notices I'm doing it left handed.
Thanks for letting me on board.
Cheers
Jim

Welcome! In you honor I dusted off a tea towel my mate Andy gave me for my Wedding 13 years ago and plonked it on my amp, Manics-style. They rock it with a few less wrinkles
Cheers!

In the topsy-turvy world of heavy rock, having a good solid piece of wood in your hand is often useful...

Re: Please say hello
Hey guys.
I'm 43, been playing since I was 11. The lefty curse runs deep with me as I have a taste for the unusual and make few compromises. I'm finicky and generally only buy legfit stuff (no, knockoffs, frankensteins, flips, etc).
Full Disclosure: I own and run Tronographic, the pedal company, we make the Rusty Box Bass Pre-amp... though I'm not here to promote my small business, and I might be tempted to offer one of our pedals in a trade or sale, I won't promote my business otherwise.
I'm currently shopping for a fretless that fits my needs...
Have mostly the same stable of axes for years... and slowly add to it as I find the very specific stuff my tastes dictate:
Basses:
1991 Rickenbacker 4003, Midnight Blue
2001 Fender CS Bass VI, Olympic White with Tortoise
Guitars:
1992 Rickenbacker 620, Mapleglo
1995 Martin 000-15
2018 Phantom 12 with tremolo, White
I'm also a vintage synth nut:
Oberheim Ob-8
Moog Taurus 3
Akai AX-60
Yamaha CS-15
Ands a plethora of vintage drum machines, midi gear and effects
Happy to be here!
