This is the first bass I had built for me and put together. I had traded it to a guy in Florida for a neck-through Thumb bass.
He must have sold it, because about ten years later I found the body only on Ebay. It was originally a 4/8. Now it's a 4/piccolo.
I finally put it back together this weekend.

Body: Zolla, swamp ash
Electronics/PUPS: Carvin passive (dual outputs so I can play both necks at the same time - sounds impressive)
Bridges: Carvin, made by Schaller
Tuners: Hipshot
Bottom neck: Warmoth
Top neck: Eden (don't judge me - it stays in tune.)
Strings: Fodera/Ernie Ball

That's cool that it came back around to you after all these years. That gives me hope for my lost love to return one day.

Are you going to make it a 4/8 again?

Very nice!
I like the tele neck.
What's on the headstocks? Is that some sort of vinyl skin? That looks really cool!

That was my original plan, but I have an 8-string now. I'm actually using the 8-string bridge on the top neck.
Funny, when I put it all back together, both necks were intonated. I only had to fuss with one string.

Yes. When I was building, my "thing" was to put different vinyl graphics of Goya paintings on the
headstock. They were my logo along with the actual logo/serial number on the neck plate. I had a few left, so...
