Expensive but nice looking! Never seen one before, kinda makes me wish Warmoth did more weird stuff...
Somebody’s gonna have to go back and get a shitload of dimes!

Sometimes they have to fight battles regarding trademarks to produce certain body shapes.

I wish they would make a lefty Ibanez Iceman bass body.

I bought a lefty Iceman bass kit off of eBay a couple of years ago I still haven't gotten around to building yet. Not Warmoth quality, obviously, but not bad either.

As far as I can see... they do still make lefty Iceman bodies. I just configured one here - http://www.warmoth.com/pages/CustomBass ... x?style=48 - and it worked no problem. The five string one too.

What I miss is the Gibson bass bodies they used to do. I think Gibson might have hit them with a cease and desist that stopped them making T-Bird, Explorer, LP and SG style bodies. They still do LP and Exlporer style guitar bodies, but if you look closely you can see subtle changes from the originals that were probably put there to skirt patents.

Still, I'd love it if they started making some of those body shapes again too. Would LOVE to put together a "Fenderbird".
Sometimes I think, maybe I'm lucky I'm left handed. If I could play any bass I wanted, my collection would REALLY be out of control.

Oh, nice! I never noticed that. That would be about $1,000 build... complete.
