Little Mark III - $400 + tax at Guitar Center

Post by superheavydeathmetal »

I am tempted to buy this just to play around with and compare it to my Tone Hammer 500, since I am pretty certain I could get my money back:

Markbass stuff doesn't last on Talkbass.

I'm always a +1 on Markbass. I have a Little Mark II that continually turns heads. I haven't tried Mark III and I know there were changes (e.g., country of origin and class) but I'd probably try it if you're tempted. It's GC so you can return it easy.

I have the LMIII and it is definitely a great amp.

If I may recommend though: keep an eye on eBay. I have noticed that the past 6 months there has been more and more of such amps available and hence price went down. I am pretty sure you will be able to find around $300.

Look at the history of LMII/LMIII sold, some even bought them in the $250 range...

Oh, and if you can, try to get one made in Italy, better resell, I believe.

Both LMII and LMIII where manufactured in Italy, but the last two years or so the LMIII has been made in Indonesia.

So better to get an older LMIII...
