Yeah, these are mine. Under normal circumstances, I would have lowered the price on the thread here to give my LeftyBassist buddies a discount. However, as these are charity listings, I feel it best to get what I can.
Plus, I am going out of town in a few weeks and I would like to move them by then.

Yes! I used the, "list similar item" option and neglected to change the title. It is corrected, now.blankrider wrote:White on white is maple/ ash I believe

I may have to have the maple. I have been wanting a maple fretboard for awhile.

I prefer Maple on anything. Although I might prefer the tone of Rosewood, I prefer Maple on the whole for its appearance and reduced maintenance. Tone usually trumps all, but the tonal difference is somewhere between very slight and entirely in my head.AHNC wrote:I may have to have the maple. I have been wanting a maple fretboard for awhile.

I definitely like the Rosewood tone better in that video. I can't hardly tell until 49 seconds in, when he moves off of the B-string. Then the Rosewood comes alive:

But, at 54 seconds is where the Rosewood really slays the Maple (for my taste):

Is that the fretboard, or maybe the action is a little lower on the Rosewood and he is getting a nice bit of buzz?
The world will never know!

Yeah its funny in the 70's all my instruments were Maple. I wish I still had my 77 ripper. In the hair band era (kinda have a fog around most of the 80's) I switched to rosewood for some reason. Today I think the maple lets me play with a little less force and still get a decent tone or like you said it all in my head.....
