In the topsy-turvy world of heavy rock, having a good solid piece of wood in your hand is often useful...

That's older I believe it doesn't even have the compensated nut. Even with the finish and matching headstock I can't imagine it was over $2000 or much more. The greatest thing about CL is everyone is so truthful and sincere

This bass looks almost identical to my 2007 Limited Edition Stingray 5. This finish is actually called "Blue Dawn." It has this cool blue-to-dark purple fade effect, with metal flake. According to Beaver Felton (the owner of Bass Central), Ernie Ball stopped making guitars with this finish because it was hard to make and had a high reject rate. I was told they brought it back for the 2007 LE's. Mine does have the compensated nut, so the one for sale must be older than that. Maybe there is some truth to his story (well, probably not the $3,000 part).

Here's a picture of mine for comparison. If this guy gets $1,800 for his, mine will probably be up for sale soon... :)

I love those sparkle bursts EBMM have done through the years! I love my Autumn Redburst SR5 a lot too, looks awesome in the right lighting.
