Super deal on a Schecter Diamond P Custom Active 5

Post by Yolly111 »

...and contrary to the ad, the P does not stand for passive (this bass is active) but for Precision.

A super deal....

I am pretty sure it is this model (no pic with ad at this time):

Please somebody take before I buy something I do not need, but it is such a good deal...

I would have to paint the headstock.

Last years passive Gloss Black Schecter P

Modded.... Not in a good way
Added 3-band electronics (unknown)
Added a Duncan MM pickup at bridge (rerouted larger)
Added a ducan P pickup replacing neck pup (4 string pickup, really??)
Added more holes in pick guard for more pots (5 total close to each other)

Scratched up, worn and played to shit.

I passed...!!!!!!!

Gravesbass, I am impressed!

Even though the picture is now available there is no way I could have figured what you figured out. Did you call and inquire? The pic quality is so bad, I can barely see anything...

Ok... you asked for them...... it was strung righty too at one point. The nut is filed for righty strung. The D and G string look like they are sitting on top of the frets. :?

I would walk away from the screen right now... Hack Job!!!!!!!!!!!

Oof! A new nut fitted and a fretjob might still have made a pretty decent bargain out of that, but the cavity route on that bridge pickup is just a complete mess.

Shit. I'd buy that junker for $75 and a little work. But yeah, it looks rough.

On second thought, "route" isn't really the right word, is it? Look like someone used a drill press and a chisel.

I call it the "butcher baby"...

I posted these pics to save the fellow lefty members here a return. Who knows whats going on underneath that pick guard. Store claims its a 3-band active bass. Where the battery placed :o

I can't get over the 4 string P pickup in a 5er bass..

Ack, what a mess! I own one of these, but mine is still all stock. It's as heavy as a boat anchor, but it's a solid performer. It's a shame to see one so used and abused. :(
