Natural Ash MIM Fender Jazz - CL Boston

Post by tim »

I always liked the looks of these. I think these were a special run for MF / GC a few years back. Reviews were favorable at the time, and not many pop up on the used market, leading me to believe that they're probably solid instruments.

This one has mods. Seller says a tech did the work, but it appears that maybe a pick ax or rabid beaver was involved in the nut adjustment.

It's unlikely the tech intonated the bridge correctly.

Yeah, I noticed that the saddles are all over the place. It's as if the owner tried to do it himself without understanding how to properly set his witness points.

Ironically, one of those natural ash jazz basses from MF came up on eBay - new still in the box:

I had one - they are nice. I think this one is about what the sold for new 8 years ago.

Looks like someone tried to pop the nut out with a screwdriver... if this bass was setup by a tech, methinks he needs to go back to tech school!
