This looks nice. I am considering jumping into the market for a quality P with a maple board, but I certainly don't want to spend $1400. That is not to imply that this bass isn't worth the money, I only mean to say that I don't see why I can't get a high-quality P bass for $900, even if it means waiting a while to find the right deal.

I would bargain with Jim over it. He pitched a lower price to me even though I was looking at guitars. He must be motivated to move it.
