I just wandered in looking for lefties and it was there, apparently hanging there forever, along with a left handed BC Rich green acrylic Warlock bass that I thought was too stupid and "metally" looking to bother acquiring (doh!). I've never seen another one. But anyway, the knucklehead who owned my P bass stripped the original SB finish off but didn't bother to remove the pick guard first, so the SB finish is still intact under the pick guard! The bass is beaten to hell, but I kinda love it for that reason. lol:

$550 with case? Now that's a great deal and I love the worn look! If they weren't made 2 years apart, your '73 and my '75 look almost like twins:

I know Im an hour late to the dance with this reply but here are 3 we sold in the past year. The pricing would be identical. All 3 were 100% orig except for covers and were in 8.3 condition

A) 1972, Oly white RW board, tort guard, Nov or Dec 72 neck stamp - 3300.00
B) 1973, Black, RW, WHite guard, A NECK, 2900.00
C) 1973, SB, Maple, usual appointments 2700.00

This is typical street price for a good one.
We have had refins sell in the 1800 to 1900 range...

Here's my 73. I bought it new at Manny's Music in Manhattan
I paid $270 with the case. Sorry, I just can't part with it no matter what the offer.

Just a bit of trivia- I bought my 1973 P-bass from Sam Ash on 48th. St., Manhattan, in 1973... brand new. It was black with a maple neck, and a lefty case. All 10% upcharges. Came with both covers installed, and the mute...with green silked flats. It sounded great. It was $321.00 out the door including tax. When money was actually worth something. The irony is that I would become the guitar repairman for the Brooklyn store, serving the five boroughs, including the customers from the Manhattan store- in November, 1979.
