The colors, Duke!

Post by OneTwoSkipAFew99~100 »

Hey pals,

Kind of hate to ask something so basic for my first post, but I'd really like to know if anyone knows of a site/outlet/brand that has "fancy" colors. I guess what I'm looking for is a deep purple or nice red with 4 or 5 strings. Kind of shallow or whatever, but I'm in the market for a new bass, and I'm tired of all the boring blacks and blues.

I guess I should also add I don't want to pay a bajillion dollars for some custom mess, and that I also abhor Fenders! Oh, and I suppose my price cap is $1100. Any help, and I'd be super-grateful!

you might try ordering parts from warmoth.com or a similar site like that. they have a pretty wide selection and can do paint in house. you should be able to create a pretty sweet bass for $1100. im not sure if they assemble basses in shop, but you can order all the parts and take it to a local guy in your area (if you know a respectable one) to put the bass together. otherwise the only other thing i can recommend is keeping an eye on ebay or craigslist. im sure some other members can help with your situation. there are some pretty knowledgeable members on this board.

Someone was recently selling a lot of unusually colored G+L basses on Ebay, they may be worth looking at.

Had me worried for a minute - thought you were looking for Dook Basketball Blue.
