Beautiful workmanship on this bass! Bongos remind me of this for some reason...

Re: NBD!!!!
I really like it! And Mahogany body that's much more to my liking than the basswood body...
Re: NBD!!!!
I've never liked the look of Bongo's, but this one is an exception! It's absolutely stunning

If my two ex Bongos looked like that I NEVER would have sold them. Gorgeous!

It sounds awesome! Its funny I never liked the looks of a Bongo until this one came into my favorite shop, I just had to have it!markcv wrote:If my two ex Bongos looked like that I NEVER would have sold them. Gorgeous!![]()

Re: NBD!!!!
When they first came out I hated them but lately I think they look great. That is one of the best looking ones I have seen.
Re: NBD!!!!
Again, looking back on the whole Bongo experience and the way MM has traditionally done them: I think the showing the natural woods like this works much better than the solid colour versions that they usually do. Maybe the woods helps to carry the different design.

Absolutely stunning! I had no idea there was an option for us lefties for a mahogany Bongo.

It's a special "Dealer Network" model called "Honey Roasted"... with mahogany body, roasted figured maple neck, pau ferro board and honey burst finish.crabby wrote:I had no idea there was an option for us lefties for a mahogany Bongo.

Agreed on all fronts. This may very well be the only bongo I have really dug. Almost makes me want to get one. Great choice on the pickup layout as well !!

Re: NBD!!!!
Beautiful Bongo! I know they had one for sale like that on drumcityguitarland.com when I got my Orange Bongo. I love the Bongo...I have a second one (5er) on layaway right now...almost paid off. I can't wait to get it.
Awesome choice! Congrats.
