This one looks more like Butterscotch than off white. Really like the the look with the maple neck.

Purdy bass, but I'm shocked by the prices MIJ Fenders are going for on Ebay these days.

It'll be interesting to see just because he's asking that much, will he get it. Seems to me you can buy MIA's new for about that price, right?

True, but a black MIA Jazz= good bass but pretty boring and not very hard to come by in the USA. The CIJ Jazz in question here is a '75 RI (not nearly as common in the states as a CIJ '62 RI) plus in a rare color of which probably only a couple ever made it over here. However, this seller being in Poland makes shipping cost to a USA buyer about the same as buying new one directly from Japan at around the same price, so given that it is "used", the price is probably a bit high for a USA buyer aside from the rarity of the color. I guess we'll see if it sells or not.

I have a CIJ '75 RI with natural finish ash body (see below)- looks great, plays great, excellent build quality, and Fender USA pickups are standard on these... Given a choice for the same money IMHO I'd much rather have this than a recent MIA black or sunburst Jazz (but I'm a little biased toward my own decision) :)

Well, It's a 75 RI, ash body. The price of the bass NEW from Japan with the shipping costs and the taxes is about 1400-1500 euros. So, is not like selling a 62RI. I bought my MIJ 75 RI second hand last year for 1000 euros plus shipping with a lot of improves (new bridge, new tuners, Fender CS pickups, vintage wiring, cts orange drop, plus fender pick up cover, thumb rest...). Those basses are better (and more expensive) than other MIJ models, IMO.

I wondered about the price at first. But given that the bass is in Poland and that the body is ash, not basswood, and that the neck is bound, blocked and maple, it may not be unreasonable. Time will tell.

Carmine - that is a real beauty - love the wood grain and the way the body matches with the neck.
