70 P bass
Re: 70 P bass
what you think of the price ? i'm seriously thinking about bidding on it but it seem too low to be true ...
Re: 70 P bass
That's what I was thinking. The addition of the aftermarket J pickup does affect the vintage re-sale value, I'm just not sure by how much. 2 Grand for that bass is not bad. I have a 72 P bass that I had the same work done to years ago. In fact, one of the members here (LHBASSIST) did the work for me. He used to do all my bass work (as well as pretty much everyone in town) back in the 80's. Great luthier and an amazing bassist.cangaroo wrote:what you think of the price ? i'm seriously thinking about bidding on it but it seem too low to be true ...

Too high, IMO, for a refinish and a routed J PUP added. And geez, if you"re gonna add a J PUP, get it right! That positioning is way too far back near the bridge, (compare to a standard Jazz), which probably gives it a very honky thin tone soloed.cangaroo wrote:what you think of the price ? i'm seriously thinking about bidding on it but it seem too low to be true ...
