I just turned on my Ampeg Microstack CL 100watt amp for the first time. Coincidentally, it was also the first time I played my new 2012 Fender American Standard Precision Bass.
It's definately a practice amp. I tried turning it up as loud as out would go and it basically compared to standing in front of someone's car while they honk the horn. Loud-but not really. Just fine for in-house practice. I turned it down quickly thinking that I might break it. Lol!
Anyone else have any thoughts on this head/cabinet combo?

Re: Ampeg Micro Stack CL
Oh, I thought it was basically a Micro VR with a different preamp section, but it turns out it's not then!
The Micro VR is a lot louder when you add a second cab. With one cab it runs at 8 Ohms and produces 'only' 100 watts, but with a second 8 Ohm cab it will run at 4 Ohms and produce 200 watts.
