Man, I still want one of these badly too- just haven't been able to convince myself to pull the trigger on their convoluted money transfer process, etc...I really wish they'd come up with an easier way to order one...

I don't actually think Bach is making new basses any more. Have you seen anything to that effect?

Here you are, mate. http://www.bachmusik.com/en/music-instr ... ars?page=3 They've also got a lefty Fenderbird on page 1. I'd like to try one of those telecaster short scale basses....if only they made them lefty. There should also be a EB2 clone ready soon.

I've gone to the site and almost ordered one at least a dozen times  ... I'm just afraid I'm gonna keep procrastinating on this until eventually they will quit making 'em...

I ordered one off the Bach website and it arrived in a week.

Well, a bit longer because our wonderful US postal service forgot to tell me it arrived and it had been sitting unattended in the back of the post office for 5 days. I had to go looking for it with the tracking number. The staff had no idea where it was until I actually saw it on the shelf and pointed it out!

But that's not Bach's or the Czech post office's issue at all. Roman's communication was great with regular notifications and fast email responses. The packaging for shipment was totally solid and professional.

Bass looks beautiful and superficially seems to be in fine working order - very heavy though. I haven't put it through it's paces yet, but after two years of thinking about it, I'm so glad I finally just bought the thing!

Thanks again Iome for pointing me in the right direction. And Kudos to Bach for not only supporting lefties, but actually making designs for us that more or less didn't exist in the first place. It makes me think Roman himself might be one of us....

Other than wire transfers are archaic (hand written forms with no mention of email) and expensive ($40), there were no problems at all. He emailed as soon as he got the money with confirmation and sent the bass off the next day. It was here just over a week after I went to the bank.

Way to go, i'm glad it worked out so well.
We had those lefty versions made after a bunch of guy's over at the Last bass outpost had the righties done on request (took 2 years to work it out).
I think there's still some trace of the whole process somewhere in this forum, since we had to order 20 basses to have them make them.

Yup - I was surprised that a cheap instrument had such well-functioning pickups. I was expecting microphony/hum galore. It sounds exactly like the actual Gibson models as seen in these clips, which were the two bands that inspired me to buy the thing.

I'm going to need a padded strap though; it's a boat anchor.

Ok, I did it- finally broke down and ordered a non-reverse Bach bird, since it seems unlikely Gibson is going to offer these in lefty and I figured eventually Bach will run out and I'd be kicking myself...

So its been 5 days and now I'm waiting for arrival- but I'm worried because the EMS tracking number Roman gave me is useless, so I have no idea when this is going to arrive. Agent, how did you find out that yours was just sitting at the post office?
