This is a nice bass but something is wrong with the Graphite around the Modulus Logo. I have seen this seller for some time on the bay and it appears he refurbishes basses. I have seen many MTD's up for sale from him. He bumps up the prices in hope for a sale but nothing sells. That price is on the high end... isn't it? I am sure the Modulus basses kick ass although I have only played a 6 string upside down... right bass. It was nice. The necks rule!

these are really nice basses -i picked up the pink one off evil bay a few months back - the bass is amazing in its response and clarity - took me a bit to get used to the neck but i am now hooked -it is a go to at least 2 times a week

I dunno, it looks more like camera reflection to me more than a repair ...
And dang i had to pass on this one too! I've been gassing for a Modulus for quite a while. This is only the 2nd one I've seen on the Bay in 15 months.

I just bought a Modulus Genesis (my first Modulus) and I can honestly say that this bass is one of the best I've played. Though very different, it's up there with Roscoe IMOH. Can't speak for the Quantum, but in my research several people said it sounded very sterile compared to the Genesis, but still pretty amazing compared to everything else. I think Modulus may have converted me! Hallelujah! :D
But seriously folks, at that price, I highly recommend trying it out. Me thinks it is worth the gamble.

They did offer them at one point, but I've never seen one.

Yup... It's back up... I bet there was something funky with that neck by the neck pup I mentioned before. It does not look right.

Sterile is in the ear of the beholder. I dig Phil Lesh's sound, doesn't sound sterile to me at all. But then again, i couldn't see one being used on a Beatle's tune LOL. They are fab basses for fusion/jazz/funz. they work on Motown stuff too, but you gotta kill the highs.
For me, their only downside is the high cost of constantly replacing strings. Once the zing is gone, the bass tends to sound muddy and undefined to me. YMMV
