Engelhardt Upright at Fretwell Basses

Post by Matt R. »

Hey guys, some of you know I'm waiting for my Shen DB to arrive. Well I originally called Fretwell Basses in Virginia about an Engelhardt and they said that they had a lefty coming their way. I waited forever to hear back from them, an in the meantime I did more research and decided to go the Shen route.
Anyway, yesterday Fretwell called me to let me know the Engel showed up. It's a blond EM-1 Maestro. So I thought I would let you guys know about it. Fretwell is really nice to deal with, so check them out if you can get a chance.

Matt:

Thanks for the heads up. Fretwell basses is a little less than two hours from my place in Virginia. I have toyed with the idea of trying out an upright. I think I will go check them out, and bring along a friend of mine who is getting his master's degree in the upright bass.
