This one looks really nice.
After selling my MM Stingray 5 and thinking about selling my 5string Schechter, this could be an interesting replacement. Anyone has experience with the Warrior? How wide is the neck, and what about string spacing?

This bass has been listed five times now... first two times were by the owner.

First with a $1999 starting bid and a $2399 BIN.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-string-Warrio ... 500wt_1413

Second with a $1899 starting bid and a $2199 BIN.

Next two times were by the current seller, "michaelsmusicofny" with a BIN of $2399.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Warrior-Handmad ... 53eb24223b

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Warrior-Handmad ... 53eb280123

Now it's being listed again with a rock-bottom starting bid and NO reserve?

:?

Hmmm... makes me wonder what the deal is with this bass.

F Bass BN5 • ZON Legacy Elite 5 • ZON Sonus Elite 5 Fretless • ZON Sonus BG5 • Fender Custom Shop '64 NOS Jazz • Fender Custom Shop '75 NOS Jazz • Fender ADE Precision • Music Man SR4

Was this originally strung righty? Looks like they only intended the B and E to be through-body, just like Mike Lull does on some of his 5-strings, and that it was reversed later and had two extra holes drilled. Looks silly though, misaligned and missing two ferrules. Why not go the extra mile and drill the 5th hole too, align them properly and add ferrules? :?

I know this bass I saw it incomplete when I visited the shop. This is a bastard Warrior of different parts that were lying around. the body was done for someone I know and wasn't stained to his requested specs so it was rejected. Also JD had an older neck unused and tried to get my friend to use that with the body that was wrong. My friend had a completly new bass made and that's another story in itself. This was a rejected body with an NOS neck and cheep chrome hardware with swiss chees holes at the body end to accomodate either lefty or righty string through. It's a mess and beauty is in the eye of the beholder because I think it's horrid and never should have left the shop as it did. Maybe someone got a great deal on it and then so be it but I couldn't see paying more than 1000 bucks for it if at all. Just my 2 cents.

Warrior basses can be hit or miss and well this is a miss. If anyone is looking for a great example of a Warior I would not buy this..
