Definitely cheap, and seems legit - seller appears to be a lefty bassist http://myworld.ebay.com/ogtriple/?_trksid=p4340.l2559

Wish I had the $$ this is a great deal

that price is quite a bit less than what the parts cost to build it, even at wholesale plus quantity discount pricing

the seller must be taking a pretty significant loss just to clear inventory

Too bad ebay doesn't allow me to view it. Anyone else have that restriction? I'm in Canada.

The used sellers market blows right now... especially for lefties for some reason.

If your headstock doesn't have something like Fender or some other magical name on it, then good luck selling it at all, let alone for WAY less than what it's worth.

Head over to the TalkBass classifieds and watch people literally almost give stuff away... a week ago I saw a guy sell a MINT righty Lakland 55-94 for $1800.

F Bass BN5 • ZON Legacy Elite 5 • ZON Sonus Elite 5 Fretless • ZON Sonus BG5 • Fender Custom Shop '64 NOS Jazz • Fender Custom Shop '75 NOS Jazz • Fender ADE Precision • Music Man SR4

I would love to own that if I could afford buying another bass right now. Could really use it in my metalband! We're recording an album right now and I'm mostly using my Stingray 5 and my Ellio Martina Forza 5 through an Ampeg SVP-CL and my EBS rig but am looking for other sounds as well. I'm not into solid black, but it looks great on this one!

Sly, here's a wild-a$$ed suggestion. If you haven'y already, sign out of your ebay account. then close your browser and restart it and go directly to the link above, WITHOUT signing in to eVille-bay. It's possible your browser has cached stuff.

@ Sly, I can see it fine from Vancouver. AzWhoFan suggestion sounds as though it may work as I'm viewing it on ebay.com, not ebay.ca

Hey, to anybody interested in that bass, that's quite a bargain and it really sound as good as a whatever high-bass you can think of. I tried that bass (paid $2000 directly from Nino, but returned it within a few days). I thought the bass was phenomenal, great quality, woods, finish, fretwork, and electronics. It really had a Sadowsky vibe to it. The EMGs with the Aguilar kick major ass, super modern sound, very punchy and defined. The bass is light weight and balanced, too.

I returned it because I thought the neck profile was a bit too thick. I was used to the paper-thin necks of Sadowsky, Smith, etc. but this is more like a Yamaha TRB, a Warwick, or an MTD (at least the 535 I had had a pretty full neck). Mind you, I have short fingers, so on 5-strings I like thin necks (not so much on 4-strings), so anybody with "normal" hands should be fine.

Other than that, like Rodent mentioned, this is quite a bargain, much less than the cost of materials, for sure. . .

This one has been relisted, same price.
The market market must be REALLY slow if the guy is having trouble getting rid of this bass at such a low price.

Man, I snoozed. Richmond is about an hour and change from me. I was actually down in Richmond two weeks ago, and ironically enough stopped by Sam Ash because they had a Schecter Stilletto 4 with flats in stock for some crazy low price, figured I would check it out while I was there. Didn't care for the bass, but would have loved to check out the Valenti.
