Seem a chinese company. :?

I'd like to buy one just to give a home to my homeless Toaster Pick up ... but i'm afraid about ordering this one (correct shape)

http://thetopguitars.com/products/TOP-S ... tural.html

and being shipped this one (bloody awful)

http://thetopguitars.com/products/Best- ... itar-.html

Anyone here knows what kind of woods are used for those basses ?

For those prices, I wouldn't be too bothered about things such as wood or pickup quality. If they are anything but doorstop-quality, it'd be cool to own one. But if there's any more clear-cut thing for RIC to go after, I haven't seen it. Not too sure if the Long Arm Of The Hall can reach into China though....

funny ... IIRC these guys were 'strangely' absent from the 2011 Winter NAMM. I can only wonder why

nothing else I would say is fitting for a public forum ...

all the best,

AJ, owner/luthier of Dickhead Designs out of Anaheim, CA has his own model he is working on. It's called a "Dickenbacker" <- yes, no pun. I think he is also dealing with John Hall issues as well. Everybody has to get a piece of the pie... Gawd!!!!!!

The Chinese company. I'll stop here not to hijack this thread with my anti-Chinese-business-practices issues.

Nothing against the Chinese people in general, but Chinese businesses and government? :x

I would be tempted if they had lefty guitars. Sold my 330/6 years ago since I never cared for the narrow neck, but I would not mind having a cheap beater.

Yup, just basses on that site. There's still a social comment to be made there: What does it say, when a bunch of pirates offer lefties more choices than the company they are ripping off?
