This one's been popping up on ebay for at least a year now. Nice bass, but at that price you could easily purchase a new one.

More like for a few years now but for some reason the price keeps getting inflated. I had its twin fretted brother from the same year, same finish. I wish I could have moved mine for $5700..

That asking price is asking for a special buyer.

Funny market, really. Boutique instruments aren't easy to comp, imo, and you've got sellers that also know that, and also have time to sit on things, in some cases, to find a buyer.

Also, I think Ebay completed sales actually creates bubbles. You see prices trending up and you might think that trend will continue. It won't continue - not forever certainly and maybe not for long - but some sellers assume so in their prices.
