Lefty Jazz neck from the 70's

Post by slybass3000 »

Anyone has a lefty jazz bass neck 3 or 4 bolts with the blocks inlays from the 70's for sale?

Preferably a maple neck but I don't mind the rosewood too,

Thanks,

Sly

I considered getting this neck (it's local to me), but was told that there is a "slight bump" on one side of the neck that the truss rod can't get to straighten. If you use medium-low action (which I do) it's supposed to be fine, but if you like your neck arrow straight with low action, this neck might give you problems. Without being able to experience this issue (ie. play the neck) it made me nervous. If curiosity gets the better of me and I can find a body to put this on to try it out, I'll report back here on it.

Thanks for the link but I think it is way too expensive. I have found a builder in Slovakia who builds nice instruments and vintage necks style and I commited him to make me a 60's jazz bass neck with Jaroslav Halak's autograph on it !!! I hope he'll get it ;-)

Go Tampa and go Canucks !!!! what a Stanley cup finale that would be ;-)
