"has extra pickup and switch routs"..... in other words, it's been hacked up, and is no longer an original P-bass body. Just because it's a Fender....

And god not just any frender but a 1979 fender so i wouldnt be surprised if the neck jazz pu route was original and fender relized last minute it was a p bass and just figured hey pickgaurd will cover it problem solved
