Why is it the headstock looks as long as the body? Optical illusion, or are the Warmoth headstocks larger than Fender?

i guess that was the loaded 72 p bass body who was sold on e bay not so long ago.

That would make sense as to why the Warmoth neck is on it.

too bad i can't find the link about the original auction, i had it on my watch items ... it was cool but there's no way one can be sure that was a real 72 p bass body ... anyway i guess that the result was not so great seeing that it was sold soon after.
