hey guys,just was browzin the lakland site and came across some new models for 2011,a new jazz,a new 51 p-bass,as you know available in lefty, u.s.a models.PEACE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Browsing the Lakland site I noticed you can have ebony fingerboards on the fretted US basses. I thought this was just for fretless basses.
I haven't heard of this before..
Anyone who have tried both knows what difference there is? Just wondering..

Ebony has a similar tonal quality to maple in fingerboards, bright and focused. Gibson guitars often have fretted ebony fingerboards. The Odyssey bass I have has a fretted ebony fingerboard.fat fret wrote:Nice links.
