What cheap Js can a Warmoth J neck fit on?

Okay, I have a lined fretless Warmoth neck lying around I'd like to use again that used to be on my '77 J before I put the original neck back on to sell the bass, and I'd like to marry the Warmoth neck to a J body. Has anyone had success attaching a standard J size Warmoth neck to some other el cheapo body, i.e. SX, Squier, MIJ J, MIM J, etc? The neck heel's been routed for either a 3 or 4 screw, so no problems there and I can go with either, but I've heard conflicting stories about whether or not other basses share the same heel width for the body route or depth. (I believe the SX basses, in particular, are deeper and require shimming?). Right now, this fully loaded MIJ Body looks the most appealing,

Though I'm also considering buying a Squier modified for probably the same cost. Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

For about $375 you can order a body from Warmoth in most standard colors... and even choose your own pickup configuration.

You can usually find p'ups, electronics, and hardware for quite cheap on eBay... you probably wouldn't spend too much more than what you'd spend on that MIJ body, and you know it'd be a perfect fit.

EDIT: I forgot to mention... I think MIJ bodies work just fine with Warmoth necks... but I think you'll have a problem with MIM. Can't remember exactly.

I successfully put a Warmoth neck on an MIM body a few years ago. I don't own the bass anymore. Your mileage may vary.

They will fit on Squier bodies just fine.
