Oh, no specific reason... it's just that I could only imagine myself ever owning one, and if that was the case, I would rather have fretted than fretless.
Actually, the second Guild bass you posted is more of a sister to my S-60 than the eBay fretless since it's the single pickup version.

FYI, I don't believe the knobs on that auction's bass are original. They look larger than the originals, and don't appear to have the Guild "G" logo on them. (Can't really tell from the auction pix, but they're definitely larger than any I've seen). Look at the knobs on mine and Carmine's.
I remember when those came out. I hated them because I thought they were ugly but then I heard one, specifically the 302 fretless, and loved the tone it is very different that the fretless Jazz or Precision, more muscular! If I had the $$ I'd be all over that E-bay listing!
