FOR SALE - upgraded RGW VRB-DS4 Lefty - GONE

Post by Rodent »

New lower introductory pricing! - I'd like to see this find a home where it's going to get played - it's too killer to be sitting on my inventory rack

There's been good interest in this bass (and also the Honeyburst Axiom Series), but no takers just yet. How about I bring a little added assurance to this specific for LB members so that you minimize your risk on a builder you've not had opportunity to actually play one of their basses ...

During the month of May 2009, I'll include a 5-day return option on this specific bass for clients in the US and Canada. If this bass doesn't fulfill your expectations, you're welcome to return it for a refund provided it is returned in the same pristine condition it leaves my shop in, and you also cover the costs of properly repackaging and return shipping. This return policy is considered void if the bass is damaged while in your posession and/or if you make any modifications beyond action/intonation and/or pickup pole piece height adjustment. If you decide to return the bass, you also agree to contact me prior to shipping so we can make arrangements for the shipping return date. Your refund will be credited in the same form as you made payment, and will be issued within two days of me receiving the bass and verifying that it is indeed in the same condition as it left my shop.

The five days begins from the timestamp that UPS/FedEx declares the shipment as delivered. I'll do my best to ensure that you have the bass available for a weekend session, but since I don't have control over UPS/FedEx I can't guarantee their actual delivery date since it's beyond my control.

With this offer, you can verify the build quality and sound character of this bass in your personal environment. PM or e-mail me if you want to discuss this further 8-)

all the best,

R

I don't have time to gush at length about this bass right now but it's also incredible. The Darkstar pickup sounds so very BIG.

We had this bass side by side with my Lakland and it's every bit the bass my Lakie is with some even cooler refinements (and that should say something given my love of my Lakland). First bass I ever played that made me think I could give up the Lakland for.

Rod's my bud, but I really don't want you guys to think I'm complimenting these basses for any reason other than they are really great instruments. That's just not me. I hope some other guys here get the chance to demo these basses.

you could always PM me an offer I simply can't refuse ;)

I get a load of web hits on this one, but nobody's taken the initiative to make an offer. due to my out of pocket costs, this is probably the only Darkstar lefty I'll build without a commissioning and upfront deposit. this model will continue to be available as a custom order, just not something I keep in available ready-built stock

when Fred finally releases his 5-string Darkstar pickup, I'll probably build a lefty 5 as a spec offering so I have images available for the webpage. I have a fully completed righty 5-string bass with DS pickup cavities that's been waiting since 2006 for the DS5 ... someday it'll become reality and that bass will come to life ... someday.

all the best,

THAT I might take you up on since it covers two things on my wishlist (a 5'er and something with Darkstars) in one shot.
