I've got a Traynor YBA200 200watt Tube powering a BagEnd 1 x 15. The amp is decent, loud enough and light enough. The BagEnd is the best cab I've ever owned, over 10 years now. I had a mid 70's SVT - the best Head ever!!! but if your playing a 150 shows a year it gets unreasonable to haul around pretty quickly.

Did you see Traynor has a 300 watt version now?

2001 Nemesis 410 4ohm 450w cab with Markbass LMII head, great sound & power, though I'll be getting a GKMB500 & offloading the LMII due to reliability issues. Also have a Nemesis 210 250w combo for smaller venues & a LIne 6 75w 110 combo for cafes & practice.

I just had a look at it, wow. I think they've done a nice job, it looks double the amp mine is! Its got none of the tone sapping nobs like Scoop, Range and Resonance and it weights a whole 8lbs more. 300 watts for 51lbs is pretty good!

here's a link to Traynors amp;

Disclaimer,
I've yet to be in a situation where my amp wasn't loud enough and any time I play a bigger stage back line is included

Hi All,

I figured I'd keep an old thread alive with my new (used) rig. I had a little GAS, and was thinking about trading in my bass to "get the sound in my head". A new GC opened in my neighborhood, and so I went off to play on opening weekend. They actually had a ton of decent amps, but just the one basic Ibanez lefty GSR100. I decided to play it anyway, and to my amazement it sounded pretty good. Admittedly it was going into an Ampeg SVTCL with an 8x10, but this told me I should keep my bass and trade my amp. I didn't get the SVT, but I did trade my Ashdown MAG combo for a used Eden Traveler WT300-B! This little amp needed a clean and a new set of knobs, but it sounded great. It was born in 1994, so it's a cool piece of Eden history that I'm glad to keep alive. I also snagged a used Avatar SB112 that had a blown driver. Now it has a new one, and the combination of the two is pretty sweet. More than enough air movement for my basement. I plan to copy rodent and add a 2x10 cab if ever I need a little more umph, while chanelling my inner Mike Watt.

Cheers,
Dave

Congrat on your new rig! I have an Avatar B410 and I could not dream of a better cab. I use it with a Markbass LMII and have not once in a situation where I would have needed more volume.
