Looks like we haven't had a post in this folder for a year.

I have a Fender Rumble 40 for playing in the living room, a Rumble 350, and my baby, the Ampeg V4B with a Heritage cab. If I ever play live again, I'll use whichever one is best suited for the gig. I'm getting ready to record a new song, and I've decided not to use a modeler on bass and guitar. Going to mic the amps instead.

I'm never totally happy with the sound I get with modelers. I've got a big POD HD500X or whatever. Great modeler and fx, but even with their "bass packs", I couldn't find the sound I wanted.

So what's your setup?

Cool.

I'm an Eden guy and have more or less had the same rig for 20 years. Eden 410XLT cabinet with an Eden Navigator preamp powered by a 35 year old GK 400RB. I also picked up two more Eden cabinets, a 210XLT and a 210XST, which are easier to transport. And recently I picked up a Hartke HD500 for smaller gigs. Great little amp.

For recording at home, I have a Behringer X18 X-Air digital mixer, which was my previous live mixer before I bought the Soundcraft Ui24r digital mixer. I don't do much recording at home except for a handful of social distancing videos I did over the summer. I'll either run bass DI out of the Navigator or run it through my Neve Portico 5017, then beef it up with plug ins. Haven't tried mic'ing the amp yet. The great thing about the Soundcraft live is it has built in 24 track recording, so all you have to do is insert a suitable USB flash drive.

I have had Acoustic Bass Amps and cabs (new in 1982), Harke and SWR cab however around 2005, my amp went on Friday night with a Gig on Sat so I went to the local music store and grabbed a Peavey TNT 115. I put my EV Speaker in there and it sounds amazing. Again I have had all good stuff then got this Peavey and it works great.

Now for recording, I just go direct from the bass into the PC, always wanted to put something in front of it but got around to it.

Studio:
Signal is split: FX - RBI - Board
Clean - GED2112 - split - Clean/Sub

Live:
I can use the same set up powered by Mackie 1400i - 2) 1x15 or 2) 2x15 (if subs used would be DI to PA not through my cabs)
Before this I've used: Peavey VB2 - 2x15 & Ampeg BA115HP (FX into VB2 side).

I am curious: have you used the very same individual amp and cabinet all that time, or have you had units go bad and replaced them with identical models?
