I'm in Austin, Texas and the "Danny" has got to go. I bought it new in 2001, and have gigged with it exactly twice. There's nothing wrong with it, but it just didn't "click" with me. I've always been a J-bass guy and the Danny looked cool and seemed fun to play, but was always sent to the bench for important shows and sessions. Over time, it has fallen completely into disuse, and that's a shame. It looks cool and I'm sure someone else could be partying hearty onstage with it. Let me propose some trade options to you :

I am in love with the now-deceased Ernie Ball OLP line of basses/guitars . I had one that met an ugly fate, and despite a generous insurance settlement, have not been able to find a lefty replacement. Couldn't care less about color, if you have one of these for trade and it doesn't look like it survived a track collision at an F1 race.

A decent J-bass in a color other than black ( the curse of lefties: Black is the new black. And the old one. Frustrating, ain't it ? ) would be a winner. I'm not interested in anything exotic. No interest whatsoever in any kind of mutated righty axe. That especially applies to lefties with the strings re-arranged upside down. "E" on top for me.

I like stock instruments, but pickup and machine head upgrades are great selling points.

If you have a quality electrified thin-line stand-up, that would definitely get my attention. Quality is what I'll be looking for there.

I'm also a guitarist. Hook me up with an electrified acoustic that sounds awesome plugged and unplugged and I'll bet we make a deal in about 60 seconds. Same would be true with an Epi Les Paul, a Strat ( anything but black, please ) or something of similar status

In the end, cash can't be beat ! Feel free to submit an offer. der_trommler (at) ymail.com. ( Adjust the address as neccesary, of course. )

I have a OLP that might be just the ticket... I'll try to take a pic and post tonight when I get home.
