Lefty NS Design NXT5 Double Bass - Black Satin

Lefty NS Design NXT5 Double Bass - Black Matt Satin

I have to move a few basses to pay off a new incoming computer. First off is my NS Designs NXT5 string. I LOVE this bass but rarely have the time to play it. This model is one of the last with “REAL” ebony fingerboard build in 2011 and it is produced in the Czech Republic. I purchased directly from NS Designs A.R. rep last August 2017. It was a B Stock with a few blems and rare lefty. Equipped with NS Contemporary Bass Strings by D'Addario. The player dots are proper left handed orientation as also are the controls location. As you might know these are very hard to get and especially in a 5 string model. It’s got a few very minor dings but nothing on the neck or obstructing the fingerboard. You can get the action super low on these but I have it setup killer and easy to play with plenty of mwahhhhhh. You can even hear these acoustically without bothering the neighbors. I have never used a bow on this but heard they rule with bows.

Sporting a full double bass scale length, the NXTa Double Bass features a solid maple body and neck with a graduated ebony fingerboard for a rich, full tone that rings true for every note. Asymmetrical fingerboard relief facilitates an even 'growl' from the higher strings and a clear, powerful lower register. The adjustable bridge and truss rod allow for low, fast action, or for higher string settings that encourage the traditional acoustic player to 'dig in' with gusto.

Includes a self-supporting tripod stand with full adjustments for height and angle plus a nylon padded gig bag with stand compartment, bow compartment, charger and accessory pocket, handle and adjustable shoulder strap. With a loaded weight of 11.2kg (25lbs) including stand, the NXT Double Bass fits in the overhead luggage compartment of most commercial aircraft.

Stock photo for now until I can take some real pics.

Included:
NXT5 Double Bass
Carry gig bag
Sturdy Stand
Original Shipping Box

I am looking at $1,250.00 for this for leftybassist members plus shipping. Offered in the USA/Lowewr48 Only. Not shipping out of the country, sorry.

Bumping this one again. It plays like butter and setup is ultra close for an upright. Didn't want to sell but need to put up a few to pay off some incoming. Going up on Reverb soon.

Very nice mate - shame I'm in Australia!

Good luck with the sale (if it hasn't sold already).

If you were to cover all the shipping costs I might consider shipping this NXT5 there.

Absolutely I would pay for shipping. If you're not in a rush though, see if you get any local takers and then we can talk.

The Aussie dollar is rubbish against USD at the moment, so ideally I would wait until that picks up at least a little bit.

SOLD. This bass is going to a good home in Las Vegas. I hope the new owner enjoys it... it's a good one.

Andrew, please move this to For Sale: Sold... Thanks!
