LEFTIES!!!! This might be our lucky day!

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1719376 ... 6/?fref=nf

Cory Mura, a huge Harley Benton booster, had a chat with the folks at Thomann and they agreed that if he would poll his viewers for which models to offer, they'd take the top 5. It's open to guitars of all types, so long as it's from an existing right-handed instrument.

From Cory himself
Quote:
: LEFTIES LEFTIES LEFTIES!! 1f642. :)

I NEED THE TOP 5 of Harley Bentons LEFTIES want to have and HB will make them! (Existing HB models of course please!)
If you know a lefty guitar player, bring him/her here!!!
NOW is the time! seriously! Voting until the 7th of september.
START

You do have to join the group in order to vote, but I think it might be worth it, folks.

I added the PB-50 as a poll option (but instead of 3tsb and a black guard, I requested either Fiesta Red or Seafoam Green with a white guard)

Now I know, most of the good folks on here are not European, but Thomann does ship worldwide. Even if you personally are not in the market to ever buy a Harley Benton instrument, it would really help us lefties that do. Doesn't cost a thing, other than maybe a minute or two of your time. :)

If you have a Facebook account, Cory has made the poll public -- anyone can vote.

This might be our chance to get a Tele-bass, people!

I bought a Sire from Thomann. Zero issues getting it to Boston.

All the new guitars and basses they're having made are being done with CITES-free woods, like blackwood (not sure which tree that is) or their own roseacer (roasted and treated maple)

This one, but I don't think they still build these. It was briefly sold at Thomann for 399 euros:

No Facebook and not planning on joining just to vote on this one.
Seeing that primarily guitars are getting votes I won't keep my hopes up too high they'll come up with a bass I would like to buy, the basses that are in the list are not something I'm really interested in.
I would like to see a lefty PJ-5, a 5 string lefty PB-50 would be even nicer, just to see something that's not even available right handed 8-) .

OTOH, great initiative! Thanks Cory Mura!

At the risk of echoing blablas too much: this is a great idea, no facebook, hopefully it's not all guitars, and yes please to a 5-string P:

Not sure what's up with the description for Ol'y there, but here's the real desc: "Harley Benton PJ-75 Olympic White Vintage Series, 5-string electric bass, bolt-on neck construction, african alder body, canadian maple D-shape neck thomann w/roseacer skunk-strip, blackwood fretboard, 350mm fretboard radius, dot inlays, 20 frets, 864mm scale, 45mm nut-width, double-action trussrod, Roswell PBA / JBA alnico-5 pickup configuration, electronic 2-volume & 1-tone, deluxe chrome hardware, deluxe brass saddle bridge, classic PB-style tuners, Daddario EXL 045-130 Strings, colour hi-gloss olympic white."

I do hope I won't regret it for the rest of my life but I made me a facebook account to vote for the PB-50. :)
It looks like this one has a chance of succes at the moment! Only a few more votes and it has made it to the top 5.

They did good on the poll. We're getting both a Sunburst and a Fiesta Red PB-50, which the RH folks don't have! HA! Odd that there's a markup on the Sunburst model. Let's hope they're going to put a white pickguard on the red model.

VERY happy. I expect these will probably be available by Feb or March.

Great news! 8-)

I'm planing on a Sunburst PB-50. I guess that the upcharge is because of the visible bodywood. Hoping for a white pickguard on the SB as well, but not really important, it's changed easily.
